Pick Up Line Gone Wrong

I thought why not kick off the blog with something that just happened, so that's what I'm going to do. :P

My story starts off innocently enough I send off a message to my friend who I haven't talked to in a WHOLE DAY! A year in teenage years, trust me on that, I am a teenager. I have all of the qualifications to write that sentence. Anyways back to the story, you'll notice I'll get sidetracked a lot trying to make funny sentences. Oh look, I just did it again, go me! OK, OK, back to the story for reals! As we kept talking we of course got bored, and to fix the boredom we decided to play the most devious and really just an excuse for doing dumb things game- Truth or Dare. Or as I like to call it Abuse or Interrogation. I had just came up with a particularly hard core dare, well at least to us, I had dared her to text her crush a pick up line. She wasn't allowed to tell the boy involved that it was a dare until after he had responded at least once. Well then it was my turn to get a dare, she gave me the same one in turn. Easy I thought. I stole the exact pick up line she had used which is:

I'm not a photographer, but I can picture me and you together.

Flirtatious and cute right? Or so I thought. I sat waiting for a response with an eagerness that embarrasses me to even think about. Time dragged on and I started getting a little worried. I was wondering if I had ruined the blossom that our fragile relationship was. I started texting my friends out of worry. He didn't respond that night.

I woke up bright and early and instantly looked to see if he had responded. He had. With these exact words:

     to bad Im blind
     I already have a gf

I did say they were his exact words, bad grammar and all. Regardless of the bad grammar, it still hurt me. I'm not going to lie, it really did hurt. I eventually responded with:

     It was a dare.

I did later get a response from him saying that he was not in charge of the text, and one of his friends responded without him knowing. That was a relief and I felt a bit better. Then he decided to add insult to injury by saying he probably wouldn't have responded because he couldn't see us together. Who says that to a girl? You just don't say that!!! It's rude, and it hurts feelings! All I've got to say to him is thanks pal, thanks you made me feel 100% better by typing that. If any guys are reading this please don't ever say that to a girl. It will just insult them, and you may get slapped. If he had been here with me, I may have just walked away. However, I did the next best thing and quickly ended that horrid conversation as quickly as possible, by at one point not responding to his message.

Needless to say things are now a bit awkward. To add to all of the horribleness of this situation, he's my next door neighbor, and we go to the same church. So I see him often enough, in fact I've already seen him once today, and that consisted of trying not to look at each other for a whole hour since we were in the same class. Eventually that ended, and I've now recovered slightly from the experience. I hope you've enjoyed this! Comment below if you did!
